Ghaw luh a ghāy! That means 'good morning' in Karen (also known as Kayin, Kariang or Kawthoolese), one of the 111 languages spoken in Myanmar — it's also one of the languages we've translated our introductory "Welcome to the Library" brochure into. Karen is also one of the languages spoken by many people in our region.
Australia is now a melting pot of diverse cultures and languages, and our G21 region is no different. To improve our accessibility to the communities within our network, we worked with partners, and used local data to select ten languages. These languages are:
