The lead-up to Christmas can be a time filled with joy and excitement. However, for many people in our region, it can be a stressful time.
We are proud to partner with Geelong Food Relief Centre for the Library Food Drive this year, allowing you to give back to the community and help those who need it.
We'll be accepting donations at many of our libraries. Geelong Food Relief will distribute them to local people experiencing food and financial insecurity.
In our previous Food For Fines appeal, generous library members donated two tonnes of food! Let's see if we can match it this year.
The Drive runs across several libraries. Please check the closing dates and which items can be accepted at each library, as they vary slightly.
The following libraries accept donations of packaged and non-perishable food items and sanitary products until Wednesday 20 December.
Donated food items should have an expiration date of May 2024 or later. Please see the Geelong Food Relief website for more information about what you can contribute.
Thank you in advance to all our customers for donating generously to support the appeal.
